The Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy has also enabled the automatic and free extension of the validity of subsidized public passenger transport tickets this year.
The measure applies to beneficiaries whose tickets expire in July 2026.
The following are eligible for the automatic extension, which is valid for a period of one year:
retirees or persons over 65 years of age who are not in employment or do not perform self-employed registered activities,
holders of the EU Disability Card who are also not in employment or do not perform self-employed registered activities,
individuals with war veteran status who are not in employment or do not perform self-employed registered activities.
The extension will be carried out automatically through the IJPP (Integrated Public Transport) system, without the need to submit a new application or additional costs for beneficiaries.
