We would like to inform you that the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy has changed the decision to introduce free tickets for Ukrainian refugees. The Ministry has extended the validity of the decision until the cancellation or maximum until 4 March 2024.
Passengers in intercity bus and rail transport passengers that would like to use free transport, show to the driver:
- The identity card of a person with temporary protection in the Republic of Slovenia or
- A written decision on the recognition of temporary protection in the Republic of Slovenia and a Ukrainian passport or identity card or
- A written decision on the recognition of refugee status in the Republic of Slovenia and a Ukrainian passport or identity card.
The driver issues a free one-time ticket to the passenger.
All of these supporting documents issued on the basis of the Government Decision on the introduction of temporary protection for displaced persons from Ukraine of 9 March 2022, from 4 March 2023 expires validity. All beneficiaries will be issued new supporting documents from 4 March 2023, with validity until 4 March 2024.
