As part of the Sea of Winter Experiences holiday program, a concert by the band Zvita feltna will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Trg prekomorskih brigad in Portorož at 4:30 p.m., followed by the traditional fireworks at 6:00 p.m.
Due to the expected increased attendance and to ensure safety, a complete traffic closure will be established on a section of Obala Road, specifically from the intersection with Koprska cesta to the intersection with Prečna potja. The closure will last from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
During this time, city and suburban buses to Portorož will only drive to the main bus station. Detours will be arranged via Beli križ (along Koprska cesta) in the direction of Piran and Portorož.
Traffic in the closure area will be controlled by guards, who will only allow access to emergency vehicles (rescue, police and firefighters). Passenger vehicles parked in the closed area will be able to leave the area, but access and parking for other vehicles will be disabled during the closure.
Visitor parking
Event visitors can park their vehicles in public parking lots outside the closed area, namely:
- Portorož: parking lots in the Kaštela area and above the Portorož bus station, parking lot next to Hotel Marko, longitudinal parking spaces outside the closed area, Metropol garage, parking lot above Vila Maria.
- Lucija: parking spaces along Obala road, parking lots in the TPC area, at the Lucija sports hall and on the macadam parking lot of Marina Portorož.
- Strunjan: visitors can travel to Portorož by city bus or on foot through the Strunjan tunnel.
- Piran: parking in the Fornače garage.
