From the first of September, the city’s bus passenger traffic in Koper will be richer for a new line number 12, which will run regularly on weekdays from Monday to Friday on the route from the Sonce parking garage to Brolo Square. On September 15, a new courier will join the city transport fleet.
In addition to the final stops, buses on the new line will also stop at Barka II and Sv. Ana bus stops, they will drive from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Between 06:30 and 09:00 and between 14:15 and 17:15, buses will run every 10 minutes, but never more than at 20-minute intervals.
Line 12 represents an upgrade of the journeys that were carried out during the morning and afternoon rush hours on weekdays in July and August. In this way, the use of the P+R system will be even easier for the users of Parkirna híša Sonce. By choosing the P+R driving mode, users will help to reduce the traffic load in the city center, and in return they will be rewarded with a favourable price for parking and free bus transportation.
It is the use of the P+R system that gives both subscribers and daily users of PH Sunce additional benefits. All subscribers who collect up to ten rides will receive a 10-euro discount when purchasing a subscription for the next month, and those who will ride the city bus more than once will receive a 15 euro discount. Free transportation and a discount are also provided to other users of the parking garage who continue their journey by city bus. Daily users thus pay only 70 cents for one hour of parking on a city bus upon prior validation of their parking ticket.
In addition to using the regular number 12 line, users can continue their journey to the city center by using on-call transport – Kurjerca. In mid-September, the fleet of city bus passenger traffic will be richer for the new Kurjerca.
