The City of Kranj will offer free transportation on city buses during the holiday events on selected days in December, starting at 4 p.m. For the first time, passengers can take advantage of this sustainable travel option during the festive season, beginning with the holiday lights’ grand illumination in the center of Kranj.
This initiative by the City of Kranj (MOK) aims to provide visitors with easy, safe, and free transportation to holiday events throughout December. The free transport service on city buses after 4 p.m. will first be available today, Tuesday, December 3, 2024. It will then continue on the following dates:
- Thursday, December 5, to Sunday, December 8, 2024
- Friday, December 13, to Sunday, December 15, 2024
- Friday, December 20, to Tuesday, December 31, 2024
Passengers are kindly reminded by MOK and Arriva to validate their monthly, annual, or IJPP tickets each time they board the bus, even during the free transport period. For those without a CEKR card, the driver will issue a record ticket.
“With free transport, we aim to promote sustainable mobility and ensure that visiting festive Kranj becomes a truly magical experience for everyone. Let December be both magical and sustainable—on city buses too,” said Matjaž Rakovec, Mayor of the City of Kranj.
