We would like to inform you that due to the sports event Luka Koper 10th Istrian Marathon on April 14, 2024, the implementation of public bus transportation of passengers in the area of the Municipality of Koper and the Municipality of Piran will be changed.
Municipality of Piran
- Between 6:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the road to Marina Portorož will be completely closed to the entrance to the Lucija autocamp, so access to the bus station in Lucija is around the TPC. Between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. the Lucija TPC bus station is out of use, during this time there is an alternative bus stop on Obala road next to the TPC in the direction of Lucija-Portoroz
- Between 7:50 a.m. and 8:10 a.m., the road from Konoba Porto to the Lucija post office will be closed in the direction of Portorož-Lucija. Due to the short-term closure, no detour for buses is planned.
- From 8:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., the subway will be closed from Konoba Porto to the intersection for Koper. Due to the short-term closure, no detour for buses is planned.
- From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Coastal Road from Portorož Post Office to Lucija TPC is closed. Access to the Portorož bus station is not possible during this time. Buses in the direction of Piran-Lucija go to the Portorož H bus station and along Koprska cesta via Valleta to the Lucija TPC bus stop, or to an alternate stop on the Obala road next to the TPC in the direction of Lucija-Portorož. In the direction of Koper, buses run from the temporary stop via Podvozna cesta to the Sečovlje-Strunjan road.
- Between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., buses from Lucija to Portorož will travel via Valleta (alternative bus stop Lucija at TPC-Podvozna-Valeta-Koprska cesta-Portoroz H. During this time, bus stops Lucija and Lucia H.
Between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., the Portorož bus station (the alternate stop is Portorož H) and the Lucija TPC bus station (the alternate stop is on Obalna cesta next to the TPC in the direction of Lucija-Portoroz) and Lucija bus stops will be out of service H, Lucija, and Lucija ZD.
Municipality of Koper
Between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., due to the complete closure of Istrska cesta from Žusterna to the roundabout with Piranska cesta, Cankarjeva ulica and part of Vojkovo nabrežje from the intersection with Cankarjevo ulica to the intersection with Kopališka nabrežje, the operation of city and suburban traffic lines will be changed:
- urban transport line no. 1 Koper-(Šalara) Kampel-Koper runs from AP Koper along Kolodvorska and Ferrarska streets to the Koper Banka stop and according to the timetable for Šalara/Kampel. Departing from Kampel/Šalara, it runs according to the timetable
- urban transport line no. 2 Koper-Markovec-Bolnica-Koper runs from AP Koper via Kolodvorska and Ferrarska to the stop Koper Tržnica and according to the timetable for Markovec/Bolnica. When leaving from the Hospital (Markovec) it runs according to the timetable.
- line no. 4 Šalara-Olmo-Tržnica-Žusterna-Olmo-Šalara during the closure, the line does NOT operate on the route Koper Tržnica-Žusterna-Koper-Koper Tržnica (departures from the stop Koper Tržnica to Šalara follow the timetable).
- urban transport line no. 5 Brolo – Žusterna – Markovec – Brolo runs from the Koper Tržnica bus stop along Vena Pilona street (stopping at the Vena Pilona stop) to the Markovec Center za Gradom bus stop. When leaving Markovec, drive along Vena Pilona street (stopping at the Markovec Š and Nova ulica K stops) to the Koper Zeleni park stop.
- urban transport line no. 6 Passenger Terminal – Žusterna – Markovec – Passenger Terminal The bus runs from the Passenger Terminal bus stop to the Koper Tržnica stop, along Vena Pilona Street (stopping at the Vena Pilona stop) to the Markovec Center za Gradom bus stop. When leaving Markovec, drive along Vena Pilona Street (stopping at the Markovec Š and Nova Street K stops) to the Koper Zeleni Park-Passenger Terminal stop.
- urban transport line no. 8 Passenger terminal-Olmo-Passenger terminal runs from the bus stop Potniški terminal-Sv.Ana p.t., along Ferrarska, past the court to the bus stop Kosovelov trg and according to the timetable to the bus stop Potniški terminal.
- urban transport line no. 9 Koper AP-Žusterna parking lot-Passenger terminal-Koper AP – the line will not operate until 1:00 p.m.
- urban transport line no. 10 Koper AP-Srmin GORC-Tržnica-Koper AP runs from the Koper bus station according to the timetable to the Čebelnjak bus stop – along Ferrarska, past the court to the Kosovelov trg bus stop and according to the timetable to the Koper bus station.
During the event, the following bus stops are not in use: Koper Sv.Ana V.n., Sv.Ana, trg Brolo, Dolga reber, Beblerjeva street K, Žusterna III, Izletniška pot, Circular road, Circular road K, Molet, Žusterna pool, Žusterna, Žusterna parking lot, and Semedela-Tunel.

SUBURBAN TRANSPORT
- Line Koper-Izola-Piran-Koper
runs from AP Koper via Kolodvorska and Ferrarska to the stop Koper Tržnica and according to the timetable for Piran. Departing from Piran-Izola, it runs according to the timetable to AP Koper. There is also a change in the operation of the line in the area of the Municipality of Piran on the Portorož-Lucija route.
- Line Koper-Ankaran-Lazaret-Koper
runs from AP Koper along Kolodvorska and Ferrarska streets to the Koper Banka stop and according to the timetable for Ankaran-Lazaret. Departing from Lazaret – Ankaran, it runs according to the timetable to the stop Bertoki ZAD – Koper Banka, via Ferrarska and Kolodvorska to AP Koper.
During the event, the bus stop Koper Sv.Ana V.n. is not in use.
