As of September 1, city bus tickets for pensioners will be free in the municipality of Piran as well

Municipality Piran announces to all retired people with permanent residence in Municipality Piran, that on 1 September tickets for city transport on area of municipality Piran will be free of charge.

This is an additional sustainable mobility measure, which will help to improve mobility of the elderly, relieve the burden on municipal roads, reduce C02 emissions and thus improve the quality of living and life of Piran citizens.

Retired people can claim the free tickets from Tuesday 30. 8. on, at the selling point of Arriva at the bus station in Lucija:

For claiming the yearly tickets, the customer has to show:

  • A personal document that shows that they have a permanent residence in Municipality Piran,
  • A document showing their pensioner status.

When picking up a free ticket, a one-time amount of EUR 2.5 is paid for the magnetic card.
