Ticket sales begin on 21 August for pupils for the new school year and on 22 September for students for the new academic year.
Eligible beneficiaries have the following options for travel on interurban bus and rail services:
- A monthly or annual Slovenia ticket, and
- An M10 (K10) ticket for 10 journeys per month valid throughout the Republic of Slovenia (monthly or annual).
Applicants are entitled to subsidized transport regardless of the distance between their place of residence and place of education.
Eligible beneficiaries may also claim the right to a subsidized urban transport ticket or a combined urban ticket.
Subsidized tickets are also available for urban transport systems in Ljubljana, Maribor, Kranj, Koper, Celje, Krško, and Murska Sobota at the points of sale of all operators.
With Slovenia tickets, those who, in addition to traveling between home and school, also travel on other routes for practical training, residence at multiple addresses, afternoon activities, or weekend trips, may use buses and trains with their existing monthly or annual ticket, as well as the M10 (K10) ticket for 10 journeys valid throughout Slovenia.
The annual ticket is valid for pupils from 1 September to 31 August, and for students from 1 October to 30 September. All eligible beneficiaries may also purchase a monthly subsidized ticket for July and August.
Municipal Co-Financing
Municipal co-financing of IJPP tickets for pupils and students from the municipalities of Moravče, Kamnik, Mengeš, Lukovica, Komenda, and Trzin is available when purchasing at the stationary points of sale in Kamnik or Domžale. For the municipality of Hajdina, co-financing is available at the stationary point of sale in Ptuj.
The subsidy cannot be applied when purchasing online, nor can it be claimed retroactively or for tickets purchased from another provider.
Pupils and students can arrange a subsidized integrated ticket in 2 ways:
Online purchase of a subsidized integrated ticket
- Submit the application via the eUPRAVA portal
Submit the application electronically through the eUPRAVA portal. To log in, you will need an e-identity (digital certificate such as SIGEN-CA, NLB, Poštarca, SIGovCA, Halcom, or smsPASS on a mobile phone). For minor beneficiaries, the legal guardian may submit the electronic application using their own e-identity.
- E-application and application code
After submitting the e-application, you will first receive confirmation of submission with an application number in your eUprava inbox. This document alone does not allow the purchase of a subsidized ticket. The application must be processed in the subsidy system. Once processing is complete, you will receive a notification of the decision in your eUprava inbox. If approved, the notification will include an application code (e.g., 2023JPP012345), which you will need to complete the purchase process.
Online purchase of a subsidized IJPP single ticket
Visit ijpp.arriva.si and register or log in. Add or select your IJPP card in the system. The card must be activated. Your e-identity also allows card activation, or you can activate it by entering an activation code received at a point of sale. The system will display the subsidized IJPP ticket options available to you. For a monthly ticket, first select the desired validity period and then confirm the purchase.
Validation of the purchased ticket
After completing the online purchase, you must collect the subsidized ticket by validating it on validators in buses or trains. At least 60 minutes must pass between the online purchase and validation on the vehicle.
Don’t have an IJPP card yet?
If you are purchasing a subsidized ticket for the first time and do not yet have an IJPP card, you can order it online at ijpp.arriva.si or visit one of our points of sale, where we will issue the card and assist you with the purchase.
Online ticket renewal
A monthly ticket can be renewed online starting from the 21st of the month.
Purchase of the ticket at a point of sale
Visit the nearest IJPP point of sale.
Eligible beneficiaries no longer submit written applications at points of sale. The applicant presents an identity document. After entering the applicant’s personal identification number (EMŠO), all required data is retrieved from connected registers, and the application is confirmed.
